It’s been a long while since I wrote a log for this campaign. I do still have the notes in a book somewhere but never found the time to type them up properly.

As a summary, the brave group of adventurers made their way to the Brambletoe estate where they quickly discovered that everyone inside who had been at the party, were dead. This included the Mayor and the Reeve.

They also found that most of the corpses were missing parts, and that Willic Brambletoe had been less than forthcoming with the truth. It turned out that his new home was actually built in a pre-existing barrow. A barrow that had further chambers that could be reached through the fireplace in the main hall.

So the brave adventurers girded their loins and made their way into an elaborate funerary complex, complete with assorted undead monsters. At this point they saw what the missing parts had been used for: a strange monster that looked like a hand with an eyeball attached to the severed wrist.

Slowly and carefully they cleared the entire complex, finding a number of ancient items and weapons, before facing off against the reanimated remains of an ancient warlord and his queen. It was a long hard fight and the queen proved to be the more dangerous opponent but eventually both creatures were slain.

The party were able to return to the inn where they reported their success to the temporary Mayor before resting up for the long trip back to Ascalon where they could divvy up the spoils.

After playing through the scene with Monk, the group chose to call a halt here so that someone else would have the chance to run a game.
